Rimless Eyeglasses
Rimless eyeglasses frames are a design of glasses in which lenses are mounted directly onto the nosebridge and/or side temples by way of a series of screws. As the name simply states, rimless, "frameless" or "no frame glasses" have no frames around the edge of the lenses. We carry men's rimless glasses and women's rimless glasses because they are not only fashionable but also practical. Many folks prefer the style because of the barely-there look of glasses without frame designs. Glasses that have frames around the prescription lenses often become the focal point of a persons ‘s face. But with rimless glasses, and rimless sunglasses, the full face is exposed, which is why so many politicians use rimless glasses. Semi rimless glasses, also known as half-rim glasses, have a rim over the top, and are rimless at the bottom. The clear lenses are held into place along the bottom by a thin plastic wire which is attached to the frame. This provides a certain "look" that is different from fully rimless glasses, and semi-rimless glasses are also more sturdy than rimless glasses. Half or semi rimless prescription glasses have a frame over the top part of the lens. Semi rimless eyeglasses frames also create a minimalistic look that appears great on just about everyone. The metal frame around the top of the lenses typically identifies this type of eyewear while the bottom is “rimless.” A pair of half rimless glasses is a classy and refined look, but goes a bit further to focus on the wearer’s face than do regular frameless glasses.
